Saint Marianne Cope Council 14260
at Syracuse University

110 Walnut Pl. Syracuse, NY 13210 - 315.478.5959

Thank you for visiting the website of Knights of Columbus, Saint Marianne Cope Council 14260 at Syracuse University.

We are a member of the College Council's Conference, one of only six in the state of New York, and a member of the CNY Chapter of the Knights of Columbus. We serve the Catholic communities on "The Hill" (Syracuse University, SUNY ESF, and Upstate Medical University) in conjunction with the St. Thomas More Catholic Campus Ministry. In addition to the community on The Hill, we welcome our brother Knights from nearby Le Moyne College, who since 2008 are members of our council.

As Knights of Columbus we strive to work towards upholding the pillars of the order: Charity, Unity, Fraternity and Patriotism. We do this through our activities as a council and as a part of the larger university Catholic community on The Hill. For more information, check out the links at the top of the page.

Vivat Jesus,

Prayer for the Canonization of Father Michael J. McGivney

God, our Father, protector of the poor and defender of the widow and orphan, you called your priest, Father Michael J. McGivney, to be an apostle of Christian family life and to lead the young to the generous service of their neighbor. Through the example of his life and virtue may we follow your Son, Jesus Christ, more closely, fulfilling his commandment of charity and building up his Body which is the Church. Let the inspiration of your servant prompt us to greater confidence in your love so that we may continue his work of caring for the needy and the outcast. We humbly ask that you glorify your servant Father Michael J. McGivney on earth according to the design of your holy will. Through his intercession, grant the favor I now present (here make your request). Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
